Journey to the North

Journey to the North is a Chinese shenmo novel of gods and demons written by Yu Xiangdou and published in 1602, during the Ming dynasty. Told in twenty four chapters, it follows the successive rebirths of Zhen Wu, the Perfected Warrior, who in the story teaches the immortal Zhang Sanfeng the art of taijiquan. The novel was later combined with other journey narratives to form the collection known as the Four Journeys.
