Hopscotch

A 1963 novel by the Argentine writer Julio Cortazar, published in Spanish as Rayuela. Built from 155 numbered chapters that can be read in more than one order, including the author's own suggested alternate sequence, it is a landmark of the Latin American Boom and of experimental narrative structure, following the Argentine expatriate Horacio Oliveira through bohemian Paris and, later, Buenos Aires.
