Literary Works

Literary work entities gather every individually notable poem, novel, play, story and other written work this atlas documents, independent of who wrote it, which is instead the connected author entity. Placement follows this atlas's own DataBrief convention: each work carries a SubLabel naming its dominant genre mode, one of eight groups running from Poetry, Drama and Theatre through Nonfiction Prose, chosen by theme, setting or verse mode rather than by era or language. A work whose real existence or authorship is itself disputed, the Homer precedent this atlas already records, is handled through the open question mechanism rather than resolved by editorial guess.
