The gaps this atlas records honestly rather than papering over: authorship disputes such as the Homeric question, dating uncertainties, and claims that stall short of a scholarly consensus. Each open question names why it is open, what evidence would resolve it, and which discipline, textual criticism, literary history or archaeology among them, is best placed to do that work.
