American Literature

Stephenie Meyer, born Stephenie Morgan on 24 December 1973, is an American novelist and film producer who wrote the vampire romance series Twilight, which has sold over 160 million copies and been translated into 37 languages. She attended Brigham Young University, graduating with a degree in English literature in 1997, and she conceived the idea for Twilight in a dream. After many rejections, Little, Brown and Company offered her a three-book deal that grew into a four-book series, two spin-off novels, a novella and a run of commercially successful film adaptations. She has also written the adult novels The Host and The Chemist and co-founded the production company Fickle Fish Films.
