Amélie Wen Zhao is a fantasy author born in Paris who grew up in Beijing and attended college in New York City, where she now lives and works in finance while writing in early mornings and late evenings. Her novel Blood Heir opens a trilogy with Red Tigress and Crimson Reign, following a princess who believes herself a monster because she can control blood, in a Russian inspired empire. Her upbringing across France, China and the United States shaped her worldbuilding, and her next project is the Chinese epic fantasy duology Song of Silver, Flame Like Night, planned for spring 2023 from HarperVoyager.
