Structure sorts literary forms by the fixed rules that define their shape. Wikipedia describes the sonnet's structure as "traditionally consisting of fourteen lines adhering to a set rhyming scheme," rules strict enough that a poem breaking them is no longer considered a sonnet at all. This dimension lets a visitor compare forms that share the same kind of formal constraint.
