Modernism and Its Currents

Modernism as the broad early to mid twentieth-century movement, and the currents most closely tied to it: the Harlem Renaissance's flowering of Black American literature and art, the Lost Generation's postwar American expatriate writers, and postmodernism as the later movement defined largely by its reaction against modernist certainty.
